Step 1- Open the subject you wish to cut out. Using the MAGNETIC LASSO, do a quick lasso around the outside of the subject. It won't be exact but will do most of the hard work for you.
Step 2- Select Quick Mask mode which floods the back ground with red to show what you are getting rid of.
Step 3- Use eraser tool to remove red on parts of the subject you wish to keep and paint brush tool to fill in parts you want to get rid of.
Step 4- When it is PERFECT, switch QUICK MASK mode off. Now the subject is surrounded by 'marching ants' meaning it is selected.
Step 5- CTRL + X to cut out your subject.
Step 6- Open your new background. Make sure the image is large enough to prevent the final product from becoming pixilated or blurry.
hint: make sure you OPEN WITH > PHOTOSHOP
Step 7- CTRL + V to past in the subject in the new background.
Step 8- CTRL + T to open the TRANSFORM function. You may now adjust the subject to the correct size and location in the frame.
hint: hold down shift while changing size to maintain proportion.
